2012 Rocky Mountian Element 70 MSL - $5249.99

The Element 70 MSL is spec'd out with Rocky's top of the line FORM™ C13 Hi Mod Smoothwall Monocoque Carbon for the best in stiffness to weight. They've finished it off in a stealth matte black and some internal calbe routing which really adds to the overall look of the bike. 

It's not all about looks though, and Rocky has made use of  some really cool technology on the frame to maintain maximum stiffness and minimal weight. Check out the video on how it works here:

 

As well as ABC pivot technology, Rocky Mountain also utilizes their pateneted Smoothlink technology to reduce pedal-bob and provide maximum pedaling efficiency. This design is made to reduce pedal feedback so the rider gets the smoothest pedal stroke possible - even while pedal mashing!

 

 

As for components, the full Fox kit for suspension ensures the bike sticks - Float 32 120mm RL front and RP23 rear allows the rider to tune the suspension to the exact settings they want. A nice feature on the Float is the 15mm axle which when combined with the tapered head tube up front, won't give you that wobbly front end feeling in rough terrain.
