Hey Todd,

Thanks for the note and comments about the site. Glad to hear you are coming to sample some of our incredible BC riding. As for May - July, that is a pretty good time to be in this area as the weather is usually good. No promises of course, especially around the coast as we can always get the odd rainy stretch. Bring some gear for drizzly cool days just in case - especially in May/June. About all that will be off limits in May/June is high alpine (if you are heading to Whistler, Chilcotins or various parts of interior). All other trails in most areas of the province should be in good or great shape during that period. Whistler Bike Park will be open and all the great trails within a couple hours of Vancouver should be sweet (Squamish, Whistler, North Shore, Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island etc etc)And the good news about these trails is that they can handle the wet fairly well so are pretty rideable on rainy summer days.

As for riding buddies - drop by the stores, we all ride so are often able to ride with on days off etc. Or try a guest membership with a great local riding club like NSRIDE.

Cheers, Andy at DB

Here’s a note we received recently, and my initial answer. Anyone else have more tips for Kiwi Todd?

Kiwi in Van

Hey guys,

I’m heading over from New Zealand for a few months of riding time around B.C, and was trying to figure out which places would be driest from May through till end of July?

I love your website too, and you’ve got me very very amped to get over!!  I’ll definitely swing by since i’ll be in need of body armour…and riding buddies.

Cheers

Todd
