Re. May-vember and June-uary on the North Shore

Wow it's ugly out!
The commuters on the Seymour Parkway are all in their full rain slickers, Mr. Jeff Carr rolled in from his ride this morning in his full winter kit and I just pulled out my Shimano winter riding shoes (with Goretex!) and wool jerseys from their summer storage place.
I've even been eyeing those Maxxis 3c tires that are supposed to be sitting in the corner until Fall 2010!
Even still, riding fever is in the air and the parking lot is seeing a steady stream of riders braving the abnormal weather to head up Seymour to get their kicks, there are tonnes of people to talk to on the monotonous climb up Fromme, and Burnaby Mountain is packed with folks training for the ToM.
Definitely an inspiration!

At the risk of sounding preachy; don't forget that we riders are extra hard on the trails in this type of weather. If you have a few extra dollars kicking around please consider making a donation to the good folks that keep us rolling off-road all year round: donations@NSMBA.ca
