Different Bikes Adds BURNABY Location

As our business has continued to grow, we’ve been encouraged by customer response to our simple and service-focused approach – so we’ve watched for the right opportunities to expand the Different Bikes vision into more areas of the lower mainland.
The latest addition to our family of locations is Different Bikes Burnaby and is now open at 6661 Hastings Street, right at the base of Burnaby Mountain.
This store is a new business, starting up in the former Sharpey’s Cycles location. We’ve been fortunate to retain much of the core staff from that location who will now be part of the Different Bikes team running the newest shop. Their experience, dedication and customer-focus will integrate with our existing locations in Vancouver, North Vancouver and West Vancouver to continue our efforts at building a reputation of great friendly service, excellent products and fair prices.
Although each Different Bikes store is relatively small, collectively we now have one of the widest and largest selections of new bikes and products in all of BC. We also have incredible depth of experience in the combined staff who can work together to source unique parts, solve complex problems and work with suppliers to address issues. And with a range of locations, we are easier to get to wherever you are – and your warranty, free tune-ups and customer information are integrated no matter which store you visit. Bike brands at Different Bikes Burnaby will include Norco, Rocky Mountain, Knolly, Ridley, Wilier, Titus, Moots, Independent Fab and more…
We’re not a franchise or chain. Different Bikes was founded by a small group of friends and family who basically love bikes and wanted to have a shop that we’d love to go to. We have then sought out partners and staff that share that vision. Each store has at least one staff member who is a part owner and we encourage more ownership amongst our staff. The stores work together however possible and share the same core vision of high service, friendly atmosphere and great products, but they differ by focusing on their local community and unique local customer demands.
Different Bikes strives to provide a consistency across all products and services in our locations and the new Burnaby location will offer the majority of the same products and brands available in our other stores.
