Customer View - A Trans-Canada Adventure
Posted: May 20 2006
Back in February, we had an e-mail from Samuel and Sabrina in Belgium. They had a great plan for a 5 month cycling tour of Canada, starting in Vancouver and heading east. The one thing missing in the plan was the gear. They knew what they wanted – a full setup of bikes and gear that would enable a few thousand kilometres of self-supported on and off-road riding.
We worked with them to plan and deliver equipment over the last few months so when they arrived on May 7th, their gear was ready, tuned and waiting. A pair of Rocky Mountain Vertex mountain bikes, a sturdy BOB Yak trailer with waterproof bag and full rack systems complete with bullet-proof Ortlieb pannier bags is the core of their setup.
Their warm-up tour of Vancouver Island was a success, the bikes came back for a quick tune-up and they are ready to head across Canada! Hopefully we will get a few reports as they make their trip and will post any updates we get right here on this page!

We enjoyed setting them up with everything they need and wish Sam and Sabri great travels, a perpetual tailwind and lots of Canadian hospitality. Thanks Sam and Sabri for the opportunity to help you (and for the tasty Belgian beer and chocolate) – have fun and good luck!
