2009 Rocky - KCapital - Different Bikes Team Ready

Different Bikes has been one of the primary supporters of this great local team since their inception in 2006. We’re pleased to sponsor this group of excellent athletes who are all excellent ambassadors for the sport. In addition to their competitive success, all of the team demonstrate how to successfully integrate fitness and activity into busy personal and work lives – these guys all have real jobs and many have families as well!

The Rocky Mountain Racing Team is an elite cycling team based in Vancouver, British Columbia, the focal point of competitive cycling in Canada, and one of the premier cycling destinations in the world. 2008 was their third successful season, and the Rocky Mountain Racing Team has firmly established itself as the powerhouse mountain bike team in Western Canada. With the 2009 season nearly here, they’re already preparing for full schedule of mountain bike, road and cyclocross events in British Columbia and the US Pacific Northwest.

In 2008, the “Men in Black” had an incredible season, winning provincial championships titles in Junior and Master cross-country and marathon, as well as Elite Men’s Cyclocross. Their racers also won the BC Cup overall series for Junior and Master, and placed second in the Elite Men’s BC Cup.

The 2009 team includes former Canadian National Team members, national champions, and provincial champions in various age groups of mountain bike and cyclocross, providing a broad spectrum of expertise and racing experience.

The team plans on contesting selected road and mountain bike events from March until November 2009. The preliminary schedule includes, but is not limited to:
