Different Bikes

After 12 seasons of selling, servicing and generally just loving bikes, we have now handed off this passion to a new generation of owners.

New Dream Bike

A friend recently asked me what my dream bike was (and when I was going to get it). It was a pretty good feeling to say to him that my dream bike is a Niner RIP 9 and I already own it. Being content is a good thing. Sure, there are things I would like to upgrade on my bike including an upgraded wheelset and a wee bit more travel, but the frame itself was exactly the bike I wanted.

Niner RIP 9 RDO

I knew that eventually the RIP 9 was going to go carbon and when that happened, I would be shifted into the crowd of people who want (instead of have) their dream bike. This week I got an email from Niner and that change happened. They announced the RIP 9 RDO (Race Day Optimized) and it looks like a winner in my books. In addition to the carbon frame it comes with internal cable routing, (marginally) more rear travel and optional ISCG 05 tabs just to name a few of the added features.

Now I just wonder if I can con Santa into thinking I have been a good boy this year?
